Please take extra care when out near water as 400 people drown every year in the UK.
In the rivers and lakes there are hidden hazards, such as slippery banks, uneven surfaces, strong currents, and underwater weeds which are dangerous and can cause a risk to life.
While children are playing outside, they should always be supervised by a responsible adult at all times especially when they are playing in paddling pools or near garden ponds which can be hazardous.
